HK Government Disease Prevention Regulation Update
With the continue spreading of COVID-19, HK Government has announced regulations for catering businesses and general public. Please note that you must follow these regulations.
Updates on prevention and control of disease regulation
The Government published the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirement and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (the Regulation) (Cap. 599F) on March 27 to implement temporary measures to address the current situation of public health emergency.Regulation detail
According to the regulation:
You must wear a mask at any time in any public area, especially catering premises.
You must have your body temperature taken before entering catering premises
World Health Organisation Guidance
Apart from the above government regulations, World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends that the following general cold and flu precautions are taken to help prevent people from catching and spreading COVID-19:
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze – put used tissues in the bin straight away
- Wash your hands with soap and water often – use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.
- Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell – clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
- Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
We will act on all reports we receive about riders who are not complying with the above safety obligations. Failure to do so will result in those riders’ Supplier Agreements being terminated.
